The Call by Peadar Ó Guilín
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Peadar Ó Guilín’s The Call goes against what has recently become so popular: with this one, the fairy folk are dark and twisted, not creatures to be loved. Such made for an incredibly addictive read.
Although the darkness was never quite what I would have liked, due to the fact this is a young adult book, I was more than addicted to this one. Once I started, I could not put it down. I was hooked by the story and the characters, leaving me happy to power through the story. It offered something different, and I could not get enough.
Without a doubt, I’m curious to see what the second Grey Land book offers.
