Alpha’s Enemy is the first book in Lola Gabriel’s Bears of the Wild series, and it wasn’t what I’d expected. It had me curious enough to read until the end, but I’d been hoping for more from the story.
For me, I found this one to be very surface level without the depth I’d hoped for. It was a case of instalove, followed by a lengthy separation to explain a conflict that was obvious, followed by an instant happily ever after. For a paranormal romance, I feel as though the romance was really glossed over.
Although I’m curious about the next book, it’s not one I’m dying to read.
