Review: Remember Me When

Remember Me When Remember Me When by Brooke Blaine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Remember Me When is the second book in Brooke Blaine’s The Unforgettable Duet, and it’s a wonderful conclusion to the story.

I know it’s a bit of a giveaway with duet in the series title, but if anyone has yet to read Forget Me Not, go back and do so now. You need to read the first book to get the full impact of this one, as events carry on from the prior book. Alone, each book is heart-breaking; together, the books will destroy you. So go, read the first book and then dive straight into this one.

Like the first book, Remember Me When is a very quick read, something you can complete within a couple of hours. Once you start turning pages, you will be sucked in, unable to come up for air until you are finished. In so few pages, you will experience all kinds of emotions. It may be a short read, but it is a powerful one.

Forget Me Not was a subtly heart-breaking read, and Remember Me When has the painful job of stitching us back together. It is beautiful, but there is still pain to be had. It is not as painful as the first book, but there are still emotions that will be played with. Considering how broken Forget Me Not leaves readers, it’s no surprise to find Remember Me When is a powerful read.

Throughout the story we fall deeper in love with the characters and fall in love with them all over again, both at the same time. With powerful punches, we are pulled deep into their story, experiencing so much raw emotion throughout. It’s not just the main characters we get to fall even deeper in love with, though, as our side characters suck us in even deeper too.

Without a doubt, this was a wonderful conclusion to the story.
