Review: Five First Dates

Five First Dates Five First Dates by Erin McCarthy
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

After reading Erin McCarthy’s Weekend Wife, I was eager for the side characters to have their stories told. With Five First Dates, such is what we are given.

Although Five First Dates tells the story of a character introduced in Weekend Wife, both books work perfectly fine as standalone novels. I enjoyed getting to see more of the characters and I’m even more excited for future characters to get their stories told, but entering this as a standalone is also perfectly fine.

From the start, Five First Dates pulls you in, ensuring you’ll be happy to devour this book in a single sitting. The characters are great, the story is entertaining, the chemistry will have you wanting more, and there are plenty of laugh out loud moments. It’s not the funniest rom com out there, but there are enough moments that will get a deep chuckle, making it more than worth it.

Without a doubt, Five First Dates is another wonderful read from Erin McCarthy.
